Today was a hot one…perfect day for a swim! Especially after sweating it out in the garden. Hot dogs and chips is probably the easiest way to feed 11 hungry kids….so that’s what we did. Not necessarily “clean eating”…but none of the kids were complaining:) Just the perfect way to spend a day…with friends.
Ok…in case you didn’t notice, Monroe, my dog, has his nose in the picture…he’s eyeing those hot dogs! He may be old but he hasn’t lost his love for food.
So it was a little bright out…I think London has sensitive eyes like her father. Thanks Nick for taking London for a swim, her mom wasn’t really up for the frigid plunge.
We finished the day beading with the girls’ close friends…
They were hard at work making all sorts of beaded creations.
Here are some of Sydney’s designs, although I think some of the designs were learned from friends…the patents are still pending on these:) I’ve been attempting to get them to turn their creations into jewelry as there is not a ton of use for small beaded creatures, but they have tons of fun doing it nonetheless! So all in all, the day was definitely a success! Thanks friends for fun times!
So, I think you could turn this beading thing into a money making scheme....maybe a homeschool beading sweatshop in your basement? Put a little money away for college with the proceeds? Just kidding. Very creative! And I still love hot dogs, even if it's sort of taboo in Trader Joe's land!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank YOU for fun times! There's just nothing quite like summer -- fun in the sun, and extra time to spend crafting with friends! We love spending our time with you!
ReplyDeleteOh and I love the squinty picture of London! That girl needs some sunglasses! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Liz. I loved London's face in the one picture. Nick sure has grown up scince I've seen him. I smiled and said "Awww" when I saw Monroe's face in the picture. Glad to see you wrote. I checked back a few times since I read your last post. Don't take this as anyway insulting, but I'm disappointed when there isn't something new. Thanks for making my day. My love to Joe and the kids.
ReplyDeleteI commented on this a while ago, but can't seem to see it when I bring up the comments. Just wanted to let you know I'm still listening.
ReplyDeleteUp, now I see it.
