Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are are at home and when you are on the road, when your are going to bed and when your are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

On The Road Again

So off we go from Santa Claus, Indiana to our third and final destination point of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Winton Woods Campground is a campground located in a beautiful county park in Hamilton County, Ohio.  Aside from a few wrong turns we made it safe and sound to Ohio where we set up camp on a virtually level pad with full hookup.

King's Island Day 1 082

The intention of ending up in Cincinnati was in order to get as close as possible to King’s Island.

King's Island Day 1 107

While this is a much bigger park than Holiday World, it was not as “fun”.  There were plenty of big roller coasters which the majority of my children are too small to ride, and quite frankly make me too sick to ride.  I wish it would have been so easy as to split up and take the younger children to one ride while Joe and the girls rode the big stuff…not so.  You see, London is too short for most rides and Harrison was under 42” therefore needing to be accompanied by an adult.  This leaves an obvious dilemma, what to do with London.  We managed to make it work but I must say that it seemed to be a constant problem.

The kids of course had a blast, but by day 2 mom and dad were running out of steam.  I took very few pictures at King’s Island, but here goes…

This ride was called “Surf Dog”, I believe, and was a contraption that moved up and down the wave like track while spinning…no thank you.

Joe rode with the girls and Jackson, I was getting sick watching.

Two of the cutest little peanuts in the park that day.

Now this I can handle.

Joe’s such a trooper…another spinning ride, this time laying on your stomach.

Joe’s turn.

A fun day regardless, and smiles to prove it!

We finished the day with a stop at Graeter’s Ice Cream, once again, hand dipped ice cream in a waffle cone, my favorite.

  3. Thanks...the "new look" was somewhat accidental, it's still subject to change:) I am using Joe's laptop, which I'm not used to and the keys are sensitive. When I was playing around with various templates I somehow lost my old one and saved some random template. So this is what I ended up with.

Melissa, we have a 32 ft. camper with beds, air conditioning, shower, toilet, oven, microwave, the works! It's kind of like pulling your own small apartment around:)

  4. Love the pictures. Really like the one of London and Harrison holding hands especially, but lets be honest, they're all cute.
